Where to Find Hardwood
Sometimes, you find hardwood in chests and barrels inside the mine or for sale with the travelling merchant. But the best place to get it is in the secret woods.
The secret woods is a hidden area southwest of your farm. To arrive there, you use the south exit of your farm, just below the lake, and then turn west immediately. Go through the border of the map passing by the traveling merchant and a very big tree that it’s beautiful during spring.
In the top corner of the map, just behind the wizard house, there is a small path between a fence and a hill.
The path is blocked by an old log. Break it with a steel axe or superior, go past it, and you will find yourself in a new are with a mystic feeling. The are contains hardwood stumps and some green slimes, so remember to bring your sword.
You can break the stumps and you will get at least 10 pieces of hardwood. The area replenishes daily, so you can come back every day to get 10 more pieces. That’s the best way to get hardwood.
Sometimes the stumps drop a mahogany seed, you can use it to plant a mahogany tree on your farm. It takes a long time to grow since unfertilized seeds have a 15% chance of growing to the next stage. But, with the tree fertilizer, that change goes to 60%. A full-grown mahogany tree drops 10 pieces of hardwood.
