In more construction news, Super Nintendo World Thwomps footage has shown up on Twitter. It gives us another exciting look at the park’s construction.
So, in sad news… Super Nintendo World is still closed. Its opening is delayed indefinitely, too. However, that doesn’t mean they’re not cracking on with construction. Japan’s peculiar avoidance of a major COVID-19 crisis, when compared to the UK and USA, might have worked in its favour. Despite the Olympics not coming, it seems like they have been able to be busy at work on the Nintendo park.
Now we get an exciting look at one of the baddies from Mario…
Super Nintendo World Thwomps Just Sorta Thwomp Though
Thanks to Twitter user @chizuoo, we have got another great look at Nintendo and Universal’s upcoming Mario-themed park. We may have seen some degree of animation in previous footage, such as Yoshi running around a tree or a spinning coin, but this is the first time we see an adversary of the great Italian Mario Mario in action.
My hopes are for some sort of ten-foot Bowser animatronic, but I might be pushing it a little with my expectations…
