It’s finally here! There’s a lot of content included in the Pokémon Sword & Shield DLC, The Crown Tundra. Absol is just one of the new Pokémon that’s started showing up in-game. Canonically, Absol only appears prior to a disastrous event…
Okay, so nothing world-ending has happened just yet in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. However, that doesn’t mean it won’t be coming… Absol’s appearance, and where you can find the legendary Pokémon, seems to suggest that something is coming.
In order to find Absol, you’ll need to head up towards the Crown Shrine. You can find this at the top of the map, on the northernmost peak.
You don’t actually need to be at the Shrine though, as Absol should appear along the Path to the Peak. This is the area you need to travel through to get there.
Please Note: Absol, like always, only appears during a Snowstorm.
If you want to guarantee a snowstorm on the Path to the Peak, you’ll need to change the internal date and time on your Switch to around 23:00 on October 6, 2020.
The Crown Tundra Absol Additional Locations
There are also a few other locations where Absol might appear. Below are the following locations in the Wild, and the Raid Locations where Absol might appear during a snowstorm.

There’s a lot going on in The Crown Tundra, Absol appearing is just the start of it!
