Are you a Souls franchise fanatic but could not buy the new PlayStation 5 yet? Fear no more! Demon’s Souls could be coming to your PS4 soon.
If you’ve seen the new PS5 showcase then you could not have missed the new game called Demon’s Souls (REMAKE) from developers in Bluepoint made for the PS5. I know what you’re thinking, this is just like Dark Souls! while it may have the same mechanics as the critically-acclaimed Dark Souls, the story is different and not connected to Demon Souls whatsoever. This means a whole new world lore to dive in!
From Software created the Souls series of action role-playing games. Demon’s Souls was released for the PlayStation 3 in 2009, and Dark Souls and its sequels, Dark Souls II and Dark Souls III, were released in the 2010s. With the exception of Dark Souls II and the externally developed Demon’s Souls, each was directed by the series’ creator, Hidetaka Miyazaki.
As per the post details, it is not certain that this is a full-fledged game for the PS4. It could be for testing purposes made the developers, so we do not have the solid information yet to make any final announcements. This won’t be the first time that a PS5 game has been blessed to the PS4, Spider-Man: Miles Morales & Horizon Forbidden West are games that were made for the PS5 but were announced later that it can be played on the PS4.
The video shows gameplay for the new Demon’s Souls showing fighting mechanics, graphics, character customizations, and many more. Speaking about graphics, it should not be too big a problem for the PS4 to handle. There could be features that are not accessible on the PS4 but for now, we wait for more information on this.
