How to recolor hair in The Sims 4?

The Sims 4 already has a plethora of different hair colors included in the game. To change the appearance of a Sims hair color, control that Sim and click on a mirror. This will give the “change appearance” option.

Click on it and it will take you to a page very similar to the “Create a Sim” page. Here, you can change the color and style of your Sims hair.

There are now a total of 18 colours to choose from, most of them are natural colours but there still a few unnatural colors to spice up your Sims hair.

Do you want more options?

Sims Community

To this date, we may have plenty of different hair colors for us to use on our Sims, but the world is changing and of course, we always want more.

The colours included may be a great selection but players still aren’t able to replicate their own hair colours to stunning accuracy yet.

The Sims 4 have been very slow at giving the fans what they want so a couple of modders have come together to create colour sliders for hair.

This especially allows the players to adjust the hue, opacity, saturation, and lightness of a color to get a more personalised style for your Sim. Details of the mod can be found here.

If this mod isn’t for you, The Sims 4 community are always coming up with new ways to enhance players Sims 4 journey so keep your eyes peeled for new mods in the future.

One thing that hasn’t be implemented in the game which is widely sought after is a color wheel for hair.

The possibilities would be endless for hair colors but alas, The Sims 4 still don’t want to give us every colour underneath the sun, yet…

The youngers hair

To date, children and toddler sims can only have a selection of nine natural hair colors. If you are wanting to jazz up children’s hair color and styles, then a mod is a must.

Users have stated that they’ve had a glitch where a mother will have unnatural colored hair and will pass that down to her children, but it’s not commonly heard of.
