Ahead of the start of the new Dota Pro Circuit season, TNC Predator were crowned champions at ESL One Hamburg 2019! The Southeast Asia squad were able to defeat Gambit Esports in a epic five-game series with the final score ending 3-2. TNC Predator looked incredibly strong throughout the event, only dropping three games all tournament.

They are the first ever SEA team to win an ESL One event, earning $125,000 in prize money in the process. The Mercedes-Benz MVP was given to new captain Park “March” Tae-won. You can check out his reaction to being the MVP below. ”March” certainly does deserve credit with this new roster having only recently formed on September the 13th. In just over one month, TNC Predator looked like a real tier one team that could do some serious damage over the course of this new Dota Pro Circuit season.

Gambit Making The CIS Region Proud

One of biggest surprises of this event is the unlikely run of Gambit Esports. Surprisingly, the CIS squad was able to beat strong teams such as Vici Gaming and Alliance en route to Grand Final. Consequently, they then managed to take the tournament favourites to all five games. All of this is even more astonishing considering the roster had only formed around one month earlier. Therefore, credit has to be given to Captain Artsiom “fng” Barshak, who has an amazing ability to quickly make his squads well-organised and formidable.

In Conclusion

In summary, ESL One Hamburg 2019 was a fantastic event with some great Dota being displayed. Specifically, TNC, Gambit, Alliance and Beastcoast can all be proud of their performances. In contrast, Team Liquid, Virtus Pro and Ninjas in Pyjamas will all be disappointed in their placings.

Now that DreamLeague Season 12 and ESL One Hamburg 2019 are finished, we can look forward to the first DPC events of the new Dota 2 season, starting with the DOTA Summit 11 Minor kicking off on November the 7th and the MDL Chengdu Major beginning on November the 16th.
