Uzi returning to League of Legends might be a possibility if his health improves. Jian Zi-Hao announced his departure from Royal Never Give Up yesterday. This was due to poor health.
The recently-retired Jian “Uzi” Zi-Hao has announced that he would be open to returning to League of Legends at a professional level if his health recovers. Through his professional career, Uzi developed type two diabetes. This was due to an irregular diet, obesity, and chronic stress. These are illnesses that many pro players are at risk of.
“If I can recover at my best, or if I can slowly get better, I still really want to return to the stage.”
Uzi during an interview with Chinese Network Television
It has been reported that Uzi would practice for ten hours a day. He began to question whether it was safe to continue, as it affected him physically and mentally. He has spoken about how his diabetes medicine affected his appetite and he began to get even more exhausted.
Uzi has suggested that a pro player has a two-year peak due to the physical and mental endurance required. The rest “depends on how much you’re able to endure”. He has been performing at this level for nearly eight years, so it’s understandable that it has taken its toll.
Uzi returning to League would definitely be welcome among his fans!
He is a record-setting AD Carry. He has the most kills in professional games globally and is arguably the best League player in this position. It seems like it could be argued that he has been for some time.
It has been reported that Royal Never Give Up will continue to support Uzi through his recovery and after.
