Killjoy has been the agent rumored for release for the past few weeks, but now there is concrete proof she exists. The leaker, Valorant Express, has found all of Killjoy’s abilities and brought them to Twitter. According to Valorant Express, they came from an unlisted YouTube video.
The Abilities
The first ability is the Alarm Bot. This will detect enemies and explode after reaching the target. This isn’t too different from Raze’s Boom Bot, but rather than setting off in one direction, this is a stationary ability. The Alarm Bot not only does damage to enemies but it puts them in a vulnerable state which makes them take more damage.
The second ability is the Turret. Killjoy is bringing some turrets from League of Legend’s Heimerdinger into Valorant. After placing the turret, it holds a 180° angle and fires on enemies in its view. This will make holding sites solo much easier.

The third ability Killjoy brings to the table is NanoSwarm. This is a grenade that she throws, which does nothing initially, but when activated, it deploys a swarm of nanobots that deal damage to enemies. Killjoy has a serious set of zoning abilities just in her base kit.
Killjoy’s Ultimate ability is Lockdown. Lockdown is a device that winds up and detains all enemies who are caught in its radius. The ‘detain’ greatly slows down enemies similar to walking on Sage’s Slow Orb or Cypher’s Tripwire. While we don’t know if this effect works through walls, this could be crucial in stopping rushes on defense.
While Killjoy can seem like a nuisance on defense, these abilities don’t translate to attack very well. We can imagine that she will be a possible replacement for Cypher, or at least be a viable option for players instead. It is assumed that Killjoy will be added to the game with Act 2.
