Xbox has announced six new games, mainly sports titles, coming to the Xbox Game Pass streaming service.
The titles announced were NBA 2K21, NHL 21, Madden NFL 21, Football Manager 2021, Football Manager 2021 Xbox Edition, and Star Wars: Squadrons. It is not clear exactly when they will arrive at the service but they are expected to do so sometime soon.
It is worth noting that NHL 21, Madden NFL 21, and Star Wars: Squadrons are technically coming to the EA Play service instead of only strictly being on Xbox Game Pass. However, for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, EA Play comes bundled with it.
NBA 2K21 is not a part of EA Play, however, it is the only game of the new additions that people can play through the Cloud. Cloud gaming is a relatively new feature for Game Pass and Xbox in general but it appears that the company is committed to moving forward the technology with the right games.
Unfortunately, with these new games being added to the service, others are leaving it. Alvastia Chronicles for console and PC, Astrologaster for PC, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night for console and PC, Kona for the console, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for the console are all leaving Game Pass later this month. Wild Hunt is the most notable addition to this list as many fans consider it to be one of the greatest games of all time. All of these are leaving the service on March 15th.
With all these new sports titles coming to Xbox Game Pass, plus a Star Wars game for good measure, subscribers will have a variety of ways to still play sports even when stuck inside.
