The first international live VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) Stage 2 Masters will be hosted in Iceland. The event will take place in Reykjavík, as the League of Legends MSI 2021, and will feature 10 of the top teams from around the world competing in a LAN environment for the first time!
Location and Dates
The first international VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT)Stage 2 Masters offline event will be hosted in Reykjavík, the capital of Iceland, at Laugardalshöll indoor sporting arena during a span of 6 days, from the 24th to the 30th of May 2021.
In the weeks leading up to the event, the venue will host another highly anticipated event: League of Legends MSI 2021, which returns after a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 emergency that forced RiotGames to cancel the event in 2020.
VCT Masters Qualifications
Teams from around the world will qualify into VCT Masters through their regional Stage 2 Challengers events. Competition at Masters will take place on offline game servers, creating virtually a lag-free experience, similar to competitive League of Legends.
VCT Masters Explained
VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT)Stage 2 Masters in Reykjavík is the second major event of the 2021 VALORANT Champions Tour. At each Masters event, teams will earn points that will help them qualify into the end of year Champions event.
Additional information on the point system will be released in the next few weeks according to an official statement. Based on the released event timeline there will be another Master event in September, just before the VALORANT Champions in December.
