Another day, another huge update. However, the Warzone Season 5 download will reportedly reduce the overall file size… Despite the download itself being massive.
Alright. Finally, we’re nearing Warzone Season 5. It’s been a long haul, and with lockdown, we’ve all been blitzing through Season 4. Thankfully, you’ll be able to start the grind once more in just a matter of hours. However, as you may have expected, this will come at a cost to your storage. Sort of.

Warzone Season 5 Download Will Contain All The Season 5 Content
Talking about the update, Infinity Ward’s Production Director, Paul Haile, stated that the latest update has it all. Could this mean that future Season 5 update files will be smaller? We can hope so. Either way, the update is also going to do a bit more behind-the-scenes reworking. It should help further optimise the game’s files so that its overall impact on your harddrive will be reduced. Even if the actual download itself seems huge.
Unfortunately, though, we don’t know the specific file size yet. However, if the other updates are to go by… It could be pushing 40GB, if not more.
Season 5 marks the introduction of Shadow Company, a new faction introduced into Modern Warfare’s lore. It was borne out of the chaos between The Allegiance and The Coalition. You can check out the two new Operators besides Roze below:
It will also bring the first map alterations to Warzone, something that its competitors are already doing. Will this help cement Warzone into the category even further? It seems to have already dealt a blow to Respawn’s Apex Legends…
As of writing, Warzone has 61,000 viewers on Twitch while Apex only has 28,000. Fortnite is still classically on 92,000 while PUBG is sitting on 12,000.
