When Does Fortnite Season 4 Start

Fortnite Season 4 is right around the corner, just mere hours away. Marvel is set to take over the Fortnite world, and Thor’s hammer is already in the game in a crater near Salty Springs. There have also been many hints that more characters will be making an appearance during Season 4, too. Unfortunately, iOS players won’t be able to enjoy Season 4 tomorrow due to the ongoing lawsuit between Epic Games and Apple. Those players will be stuck playing the 13.40 update.

In a tweet on the Fortnite Status page, it has been confirmed that Season 4’s 14.00 update with begin at 2am EST (7am UK time). The game will enter downtime then, and players will be unable to play. Downtime typically lasts around 2 hours but could be longer due to the update being larger than usual. Once the update is complete, players will be able to jump back in and purchase the new Battle Pass, which is rumoured to entirely feature Marvel skins.

There will also likely be a lot of items and weapons added and removed. It is likely the current Mythic POIs will be changed, meaning items such as the Mythic Charge Shotgun could be leaving the game. There will likely be new Mythic items added, perhaps related to the Marvel universe, such as those seen during the latest Thanos LTM in 2019. There is also a possibility a new POI will be added into the game, once again likely Marvel related. But until downtime ends for Fortnite Season 4 then everything is just speculation as nothing from Season 4 is in the in-game files.
