The Bandage Bazooka is a brand new item in Fortnite Chapter 2 that allows you to instantly heal your teammates or yourself, so it was obvious there were going to be challenges related to it, and that’s what we got during the Week 5 challenges “The Lowdown”.
One of the challenges calls for you to “Heal Teammates With A Bandage Bazooka”. Pretty simple, right? Well, it would be if the item wasn’t disabled almost immediately after the challenges went live, leaving millions of players unable to complete the challenge. There is also a skin unlock attached to completing the week’s challenges.
This has understandably annoyed many players with most asking when the item will be returning so they can finally complete the challenge.
Epic Games often discuss this in patch notes, but due to them being absent throughout Chapter 2, the best way to find out what is going on behind the scenes is to check out the game’s public Trello Board.
Looking at the Trello Board, it’s labeled as being “Fixed In Next Release”, which we assume means the 11.20 update. It seems updates this season are on Tuesday mornings at 8am UTC, meaning it is likely the item will return on Tuesday 19th November, although last week’s update was delayed until Wednesday, so it is possible that this update may be moved until then as well. But as of right now, the Bandage Bazooka should be back in the game tomorrow.
