Do you want to get paid to write about video games? Well, you can do exactly that by writing content for Gamezo’s audience of over 100,000 gamers.
What do you need to apply?
You don’t need a fancy journalist degree to start writing for us. The main quality we look for in applicants is a passion for video games and someone who is willing to give it their all.
- Fluent in English with fantastic grammar and punctuation
- Extensive knowledge of a particular game, genre or esports league
- Willing to put your all into writing for Gamezo
How to apply?
You can find our open positions here. You just need to submit a cover letter and writing sample to be considered for a role at Gamezo. You will typically get a response within 5 working days.
Use the cover letter to give us a reason to bring you on. Include things like your experience with gaming, whether that be running a Discord community, streaming on Twitch, or just playing Call of Duty eight hours a day. You could even include some topics you would write about if chosen.
Your writing sample should be relevant to gaming and something that Gamezo would publish. Don’t expect an academic piece about fish to get our attention (fish are cool though).
You’re expected to produce around 2-3 articles a week. However, if you’d prefer to do more or less then just let us know.
The basic rate for our freelance writers is 3¢ per word. This can increase up to 6¢ per word with experience.
You can connect your PayPal or bank directly to our payment system.
Payments are processed instantly after your article is published on the site.
