The release of the Pokemon Sword & Shield Expansion Pass has been confusing. Rather than being a single Expansion Pass, players need to choose the one specific to their game, either the Pokemon Sword or Shield Expansion Pass.
This has led to many players accidentally purchasing the wrong one and not being able to download the new expansion, Isle Of Armor. At first, Nintendo refused to offer refunds to players who purchased the wrong one. Now, it appears they have backtracked and are offering them.
Players who have purchased the wrong Pass are advised to contact Nintendo’s Customer Support team online here. Nintendo are also advising players to “ensure you select the one that corresponds with the version of the game you own.”
